Before you begin
- The device’s model, operating system and software version.
- Its official store and normal input method: remote or touchscreen.
- The access format supplied for your intended player.
Identify TV, mobile or Fire TV
Google TV and Android TV use remote-friendly television apps. Android phones and tablets use touch-oriented mobile apps. Fire TV has its own catalogue and model requirements. A downloaded package or store link for one is not a universal installation method for all three.
Use the matching store
On a Google TV or Android TV device, follow our television guide. On Fire TV, search its Appstore. On an Android phone or tablet, use the device’s official Play Store and inspect whether the player supports touch, your OS version and your intended source format.
Check the input and connection requirements
A player that expects a remote may work poorly with touch, and a mobile app may be difficult to navigate on a TV. Match the source method as carefully as the hardware. Keep player premium purchases separate from decisions about viewing access.
Import access and make a baseline test
Use the player’s documented playlist or account flow. Test one stream on your usual network before altering buffer or decoder settings. On mobile devices, test Wi-Fi first and consider battery use and mobile-data costs before switching networks.
Move to a specific guide or ask for help
Use the related device and player pages below for more detail. If the model or app is not covered, send its exact name, software version and connection method to the team. Do not include passwords or full private source URLs in the message.
If something does not work
- A phone player is hard to use on a TV
- Choose a player explicitly designed for remote navigation.
- The guide says Google Play but I use Fire TV
- Follow the Fire TV path and check its actual app catalogue and operating system.
- I do not know my access format
- Ask the team to confirm it before choosing or purchasing a player.
